Wentars are employees of the Coalition of Civilized Worlds who carry out a variety of tasks. They explore, observe, report, listen, and occasionally judge disputes and conflicts. Primarily, however, they control admission to the Starry Doors and teach new member races how to use them. Wentars are well-versed in many branches of science and magic and are well-trained in diplomacy. They have no direct jurisdiction over any of the Coalition's member worlds but will report back to the Coalition any violations of treaty or law.
