Shape-shifting is the art of changing one's shape, and has evolved in various races for various purposes. Most such races have a default shape when they aren't shifted, but what the shifting entails depends on the species. Blobbies, for example, retain their original color and face, whereas Andalites, who aren't actually shape-shifters by nature but have cheated by inventing morph technology, transform so fully that they share the instincts and senses of whatever form they take.
