Scud is a planet covered with heaps of burning rubber because on the rough terrain tires have to be changed frequently, and old ones are just thrown away or burned. The inhabitants have not yet mastered antigrav technology. So it is fortunate for them that most of Scud’s trees, or rather what is left of them, produce rubber. Wickie-Ups are one of the few native species.
