Reticulon I is the first planet in the Zeta Reticuli system, and home of the Reticulon Grays. It is densely populated and covered by a sprawling city which is governed by the Gray Federation. The wild animals originally inhabiting it were herded together as the metropolis expanded and later moved to Reticulon II, where a large number were devoured by the carnivorous plant population. The remainder were transported to off-world natural parks.
Reticulon I is rich in natural resources, particularly minerals such as morphonium, protectonium, and Element 115. It is believed but not confirmed to be the origin of the Cepheids.
