Poptropica is an alternate-dimensional version of planet Earth, covered by a vast ocean and dozens of small islands. It is inhabited by Poptropicans and orbited by the Pewter Moon. Although travel between the islands is limited, a thriving system of trade and barter goes on. Paper or coin money is used but only rarely.
