Nima'tar, nicknamed Mina, was a green-skinned Twi'lek scholar remembered for her theories and writings regarding Hutt society. During graduate school she was the lead singer in a band, which had toured the galaxy and ended up playing for Jabba the Hutt. She toured with the band to pay for her tuition and the time to share her thesis.

Her band sold her into slavery to get off-world and Nima'tar remained Jabba's slave, still observing and working on her thesis. She didn't know how to dance but the prospect of being fed to his Rancor motivated her to learn quickly. When Jabba was distracted by the arrival of a new Twi'lek dancer, Oola, she broke her chains with a nail file and managed to escape with many of the notes she had taken, with the help of Lando Calrissian in his disguise as palace guard Tamtel Skreej.

Later she presented her thesis, "Hygiene and Power: A Xenopological Study of a Hutt".
