Morphing is a form of shape-shifting. Technically it's the same basic idea, but this is the term preferred by Andalites who invented morphing technology with their Escafil device. With this technology, the DNA of any creature must be aquired before morphing into it, and there's a two-hour time limit after which the Andalite will be trapped in morph forever. Such Andalites are known as "nothlits".
