Mazie was a Twi'lek from planet Ryloth. Mazie and her daughter, Berri, were slaves in the spice-processing facilities on Nar Shaddaa. They helped Anakin Skywalker with provoking the slaves into revolting, resulting in their freedom. Mazie and her family moved to Tatooine from Ryloth to avoid slavery.
