Mazdaws are rare suspended animation entities from planet Nyx. They have shapeless, nearly transparent bodies that generate an intense, confusing glow. Due to their high levels of energy stored in such a thin frame, Mazdaws have to aquire energy slowly and are extremely susceptible to sudden overloads from blaster bolts.
One was used in a secret room in the Cosmic Funhouse as a storage battery, draining energy from captured tourists. Fortunately Michael Peterson and his robot 2-Tor happened across it while searching for Dr. Caxton. Mike managed to get off a shot at it before he was paralyzed.
