Laminans are the inhabitants of planet Lamina. The term actually covers seven distinct sapient species: Jomkar, Klast, Frem, Ripi, Lokweel, Srol, and Tayran. This is the exact same grouping as of the Kirans descended from the Laminan colonists of their moon Kira.
Much tension and strife has historically existed among the Laminan species, culminating in a world war and the destruction of all their capital cities in Armageddonette. Their society is now a mere shadow of what it once was, but a tenuous peace has existed amongst the species for a few generations.
