The Interplanetary Diamond is a well-known hotel chain with branches on many planets in the Hopkins Galaxy and thereabouts. Aside from minor allowances for local culture most of them are nearly identical, decorated with fake antiques and ugly little blazers for the staff. Most feature a two-story atrium of local flora in the lobby and all offer a complimentary buffet of delicacies from across the universe. Their breakfast menu is especially noted for its Neptune Danish and Proxima Centauri Waffles.
These hotels are very expensive and anyone travelling on a tight budget, especially a hitchhiker, is advised to sleep somewhere else if at all possible.
