Git Savage was the leader of the Syndicate on Tayte. He lived in a mansion in The Hill with his wife and mistress and hired lesser thugs to complete various tasks for him. The local police were all on his payroll and knew not to come near his mansion.
Savage hired visiting thief Jack T. Ladd to steal for him the egg of a Giant Kahoula Bird, a sculpture by Renato Spangle, and a fortune in Quargian Plenocredits. However, he betrayed Jack to the local police immediately afterwards to avoid splitting the profits with him. Later he was repaid for his unkindness when Jack got ahold of the Transatron and transferred all of his tax debt to the crime lord. The Interstellar Revenue Decimation Service soon proved to not be as easily bribed as the police.
