Dafi was a member of a [http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Color green]-skinned [http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Near-Human near-Human] [http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Species species] and a member of [http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Lemo Lemo] and [http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Sanda Sanda]'s [http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Lemo_and_Sanda%27s_gang gang]. She was present at the gang's [http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Lemo_and_Sanda%27s_den base] during the arrival of "[http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Captain Captain] [http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Drebble Drebble]", [http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Lando_Calrissian Lando Calrissian] in disguise. Dafi was generally in awe of the man, especially when he killed [http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Koruu Koruu] with a [http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Combat_knife combat knife]. Dafi joined the group when they brought "Drebble" to dinner at an [http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Arcan_IV Arcan IV] restaurant and helped the group get the man drunk on [http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Deltron_Spice_Wine Deltron Spice Wine] in order to make him spill his plans to find the valuable artifacts, the [http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Dancing_Goddess Dancing Goddess] and the [http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Minstrel Minstrel]. After Calrissian accidentally revealed his true identity, the gang pulled their weapons on the "captain". However, he was saved by [http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Chewbacca Chewbacca], who came to his rescue by swinging a bench seat at the pirates. As the two [http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Alliance_to_Restore_the_Republic Rebel] heroes fled back to the [http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Arcan_IV_Spaceport Arcan IV Spaceport] in a [http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Hover_car hover car], the pirates pursued in their own vehicles.

Eventually, Calrissian and Chewbacca were their own worst enemies as they inadvertently crashed their ships into one another. Although thrown free from the wreckage, they landed at the feet of Dafi, who recognized them and prepared to kill the pair. However, before she could, she witnessed a small box that had fallen from Calrissian's pocket. Inside the box was the Minstrel. Dafi became immediately obsessed with the artifact, certain that it would lead her to the other statue, the Dancing Goddess. Having become incredibly possessive of the artifact, when her comrades arrived, she began to fire on them, believing that they were there to steal the Minstrel from her.
